Meet the Board

 TSA-CT 2009 Board Member Biographies

 Tom Mehan, Chair:

Tom is a retired school teacher who lives in Windsor Locks. He received a bachelor's degree from Springfield College and a Master's from Central Connecticut State College, when it was still a college. Tom hosts a TS support group each month in Windsor Locks.

 Peter Tavolacci, Vice Chair:

Peter has served as a member of the Connecticut Board since Inception (January, 2009).  His background consists of 3 years as a supply Officer in the United States Air Force, as well as 30+ years in various upper middle management positions at Clairol, Elizabeth Arden, and Proctor and Gamble. He is now retired, and can devote time to support the Chairman in the efforts to build our Connecticut Chapter.

 Paul Nazario, Treasurer:

Paul Nazario is currently the Treasurer for TSA-CT and has offered to be a contact person for support and information as well. Paul is a resident in Hamden, CT and the father of a 15 year old male with Tourette Syndrome.

 

 


Members:

 Chris Conley:

Chris is the father of a 13-year-old boy who has TS.  He and his family became involved in TSA-CT this year and actively attend TS support groups.

 Jeanette Nazario:

Jeanette Nazario is a resident of Hamden, CT and the Mother of a 15 year old male with Tourette Syndrome.

 Mike Tavolacci:

Mike has served on the TSA-CT board since January 2009.  He owns a successful construction company.  He lives in Norwalk with his wife and two daughters.

 Roberta Tavolacci:

Roberta is 62 years of age and the mother of Michael Tavolacci 39 years of age with Tourette's Syndrome. Michael is also a member of TSA-CT as is her husband Peter Tavolacci. Roberta got involved with TSA many years ago and became a member when searching for answers in getting a diagnosis for Michael which began in the 3rd grade. Roberta is now involved with her family to be of assistance and support to those who may have questions and utilize their experience.

 Stefanie Fuller:

Stefanie is 27 years old and resides in Southbury, CT. She was diagnosed with TS and OCD at an early age and currently works with mentally challenged adults in a day program. Stefanie has attended many TSA_CT community events including conferences, camps, and recreational activities and has been involved in a couple of Health Fairs. Stephanie's main goal is to promote TS awareness and to become an advocate to children with a recent TS diagnosis.
