Are you having trouble coping with Tourette Syndrome? Does someone in your family need the support of caring people? Is your child encountering difficulty in school? The chapter has enlisted the help of volunteers whose lives have been touched by Tourette Syndrome. They maintain support groups and an online support community (*NEW*); operate a TSA phone line, where you can ask questions and get connected with other people in the TS community; and through a speaker's bureau, conduct outreach at schools and health care facilities. Remember that you are not alone. Support GroupsCurrently we have two active support groups for people with TS and their families, in Glastonbury and Newtown. Everyone in the TS community is welcome. Please call or e-mail the contacts for details or directions, and be sure to confirm the time and date before coming. Newtown support group:
Please contact Laura if you are interested in attending the group. You can view and print Laura's directions. Wilton support group: *GROUP BEING REORGANIZED*The support group that was successfully run by Chris Phelps-Thiry at the Wilton Library may continue to operate. A parent of a TS child has expressed an interest in reviving the group and serving as its co-leader if she can locate another volunteer to share the responsibility. Please contact Fran Apfel, below, if you are interested in helping her operate the support group.
