Youth Organization May 2010 news

Tuesday: May 25: 2010:

The NCC (North-Central Connecticut) support group from Windsor Locks recently hosted an event for the younger people in our area. It was held at the NOMAD'S ADVENTURE QUEST in South Windsor, on Friday, May 21.

Eighteen attended, and I feel confident in reporting that a "good time was had by all". The younger generation stayed active from 4:00 to 7:00, involved in a variety of activities, highlighted by a "game" (It is taken too seriously to be called a game), of laser tag.

Parents, granbparents and others from the "older set" found time to sit and talk. Names, phone numbers and emails were exchanged, which may have been the most meaningful portion of the afternoon.

Kate, our Youth Coordinator, and her committee, are looking forward to a gathering during the summer, perhaps by the shore-line. We hope to make this event one that is readily available and practical to come to, for others in the southern area of our state.

We shall keep you posted. Do not hesitate to contact us with suggestions and ideas. Click Here to email us.
